Local Information
Coniston – A winner of the coveted ‘Village of the year’ award. High Fell sits in a beautiful part of Cumbria. The place will for many of us always be remembered for the waters where Donald Campbell made his world water speed records bids in the now famous ‘bluebird’. Donald now lays at rest in the church yard of St Andrews here at High Fell.

Visiting the area for me was a chance to see the world of Beatrix Potter, where she lived, wrote and so on. Oh.! How the memories of Peter and Mr McGregor came flooding back.
